dc.description.abstract | A 10MW floating offshore wind turbine(FOWT) is in design from a R&D project “Development of Disconnectable Mooring System for A MW class Floating Offshore Wind Turbine” by Korea Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and KRISO carried out a model test to experimentally evaluate responses of the FOWT. This paper presented the model test results. Floating body motions and mooring line tensions in regular & irregular waves, wind and current in design condition were measured in KRISO basin. All test results were also compared with numerical analysis by HOBEM(Higher Order Boundary Element Method) & convolution for floating body and FEM(Finite Element Method) for mooring lines and dynamic variations & maximum reponses were discussed. | - |
