dc.description.abstractThis study analyzed the signal processing parameters of the field differencing method for estimating the source velocity (range) using a single hydrophone. In order to prevent the method from producing incorrect results, it is important toproperly understand the role and constraints of its processing parameters. The constraints and performance trade-offs of the processing parameters were analyzed and exemplified using the SWellEX-96 experiment data.-
