dc.description.abstractThis paper deals with core loss analysis considering the magnetic field behavior of outer rotor type surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) for wave energy converter. Since core loss directly affects the efficiency and thermal characteristics of PMSG, a method to accurately analyze core loss is required. In this study, an iron loss analysis method for PMSG is proposed using the two-dimensional finite element method and the modified Steinmetz equation.-
