dc.description.abstractThe R-Mode navigation system has emerged as a valuable complement to global navigation satellite systems (GNSS). In this paper, we focus on estimating the error variance parameters associated with time-of-arrival (TOA) measurements within the very high-frequency data exchange system (VDES) R-Mode system. Utilizing empirical data, we identify optimal parameter values by minimizing the residual sum of squares (RSS) between actual measurements and model predictions.-
